Ya'll please forgive me for not knowing how to use my computer! I thought I'd write a 'please help' post so that someone out there with time and ability would tell me how to do some useful things - like create a link, which they try to explain in the 'help' menu, but fail terribly because i don't understand a friggin' word of it! I don't have any photos of my own to post as I live in the dark ages and do not possess a digital camera (except on my phone and the pixels suck major *&%£"*$). I actually think I can probably transfer pictures from other websites because I'm sure I did that once for a powerpoint presentation with Charles Daly in AP Bio on synaptic transmission! I'm sure we had lightening and an axon and everything and it looked cool. The problem is the last time I tried to do a PPP I couldn't remember how to make my words fly in or change the background or anything! You don't have to do anything in medical school remotely like that (except the PPP I have due in like 2 weeks on cryptogenic fibrosing alveolitis - don't ask, I don't have a clue!)! So if anyone reading this who is more computer literate than me(that means everyone) would like to maybe give me few pointers that'd be splendiferous - even if you know of a useful website like www.blogsfordummies.com (ooh, that just turned blue, I think that means I've created a link, how exciting! Too bad that website doesn't exist! And how do you name it something else but have it go to the website you want and how to do make a little place for it that is not on a post so that it is always on your blog and never archived? Oooh, it's all so confusing!) Anyway, I'm being a slacker right now - I should really being writing up my cases and I just ate half a pot of nutella and I'm sure it's a major source of magnesium, which gives you diarrhoea and I'm off to boxfit with Hilary, so won't that be fun for the people standing behind me!

Sid-
Since you don't know HTML, I'm hoping that the BLOGGER you can access in Scotland is the same as here in the U.S. It's pretty user friendly.
First, when writing or editing a post, make sure you're in Compose mode and not HTML mode--there's two tabs on top of where you write your post, and the compose one should be chosen.
For links, go ahead and type what you want the text to say. Then highlight it and choose the icon that looks like chainlinks--and a window will pop up and give you the option to insert the http:// you want to link to.
For photos, in order to publish to your site you have to have an account at an online site where you have the photos saved--that way, the photos exist someplace that is always online and are available for viewing even when your computer is turned off, etc. One option is to use hello!, so try that.
If none of this works, let me know and I'll send you some basic html code instructions so you can learn to link and post images and format text by writing in the HTML mode.
I sort of switch back and forth between both.
